INGREDIENTS

Cake:

1 cup of Buttermilk

1 TBSP Vanilla

2 Eggs

1/4 cup of Avocado Oil

2 cups of Sugar

1/4 cup of Browned Butter

2 1/2 cups of Flour

1/2 tsp Salt

2 tsp Cinnamon

3 tsp Nutmeg

2 tsp Baking Powder

1 tsp Baking Soda

Topping:

1/3 cup Raw Sugar

1/3 cup Chopped Pecans

1/3 cup Flour

2 TBSP Softened Butter

1 tsp Cinnamon

1 tsp Nutmeg

Drizzle:

1 1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar

4 TBSP Half and Half

1 tsp of Vanilla

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF

  2. Combine Buttermilk, Vanilla, Eggs, Oil in a mixing bowl.

  3. Brown 1/4 cup of butter and let cool for a few minutes.

  4. Slowly whisk in browned butter to the milk mixture. Pour slowly and whisk constantly to avoid curdling the milk. Mix until combined.

  5. In a large bowl bombine dry ingredients

  6. Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour in the wet. Stir until combined- don’t overmix.

  7. In a buttered dish or loaf pan, pour your mixture.

  8. In a separate bowl combine your topping ingredients and mix with a fork until you have coarse crumbs.

  9. In your pre-heated oven, bake for 20-25 minutes or until your knife comes out clean.
