INGREDIENTS
2 Slices of Thick Cut Sourdough or Italian Bread
1 Egg per slice of Bread
Softened Butter
Olive Oil
Flaky Sea Salt
Roasted Red Peppers
Parmesan
DIRECTIONS
- Put a pan on medium/high heat and drizzle some olive oil into the pan.
- While your pan heats up, cut a medium sized hole out of the middle of your bread.
- Butter the edges of your bread generously.
- Place your bread buttered side down into your pan and let it toast for 30 seconds to a minute.
- Crack your egg and pour it into the center of your bread.
- Add in a few tablespoons of roasted red peppers around the edges of the bread to heat them up. Stir them frequently to get the edges.
- Once your egg white is starting to cook through, flip your bread and allow your egg yolk to cook to your desired doneness.
- Once your egg is finished cooking, plate your toast and place your roasted red peppers on top.
- Grate fresh Parmesan on top, to your heart’s desire, and add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt and a drizzle of that olive oil.
